wccysl team pictureWest Contra Costa Youth Soccer League (WCCYSL) is an all-volunteer organization providing opportunities to play recreational soccer to any interested child in our community. We also provide competitive level playing opportunities for more advanced players. Our service area includes Crockett, Rodeo, Hercules, Pinole, El Sobrante and parts of Richmond and San Pablo.

As our mission statement indicates, we offer these services to any interested child and we pride ourselves on the diversity of our league’s players and families. We provide the most affordable organized soccer program in Contra Costa County. WCCYSL emphasizes fair play, teamwork and through our referees, a philosophy of “giving back to the game”.

Registration is held twice a year and we offer two separate ten-game seasons. Our main season is in the fall with more than 700 recreational and 300 competitive players participating. Fall practices start in July for our competitive players and August for the recreational teams. Games run from early September through mid-November. Recreational teams play locally and the competitive teams may travel all over the Bay Area. A more casual ten-game season is available in spring starting in March and finishing in May with about 300 players participating.

We also offer one of the most successful referee development programs in the county and our youth referees have received numerous local and regional awards. Information on the program and referee training is available on this website.

WCCYSL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation registered in California. We are approved by the IRS as a tax-exempt organization (ID No. 68-0031762) and all contributions are tax deductible. Our league directors and team coaches are volunteers and 100% of your donation goes directly to the kids – either to fund league activities or the fields we use.

We at WCCYSL believe that in working to make these opportunities possible we send a message to our children that they are all worthwhile and demonstrate to the community that investing in our kids is the best way to grow a healthy adult.
